Born and raised in The Bronx, New York, Yvette R. Cheatham is the second of five siblings and a proud product of her community. Dawn Wallace
Chief Executive Officer, Chow Time Florida Corp
Dawn Wallace is the Chief Executive Officer of Chow Time Florida Corp, where she leads the organization with a deep commitment to culinary excellence, community support, and service to U.S. Veterans.
With an extensive background in the food service industry spanning restaurants, hotels, theme parks, retail, and grocery environments, Dawn brings decades of operational leadership and an unwavering passion for the power of food to transform lives and communities.
Raised in a family that understood firsthand the challenges of food insecurity, Dawn’s personal journey fuels her mission today—using her platform to support individuals and families in need. Known among friends and family for her hospitality and love of cooking, Dawn believes food is more than a meal; it is a source of comfort, connection, and dignity. That belief is the cornerstone of Chow Time Florida Corp’s culture and values.
Dawn’s dedication to the veteran community is deeply rooted in her own family’s history of military service. Although she did not serve personally, she is the proud descendant of military heroes dating back to the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Her lineage includes her sixth great-grandfather, Yost Miller, a Revolutionary War soldier; multiple ancestors who served in the Civil War; and generations of service members in the U.S. Army and Air Force. Her husband, Michael Wallace, is a United States Coast Guard veteran who received the Hero’s Medal in 1997 for saving a young girl’s life and earned additional commendations that afforded him the honor of meeting President Ronald Reagan. Their son, Michael Barton, has recently returned from service in the U.S. Army.
This heritage forms the foundation of Dawn’s advocacy and her commitment to ensuring that Chow Time Florida Corp remains a champion for veterans and their families—through employment, outreach, and community initiatives.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dawn is a devoted mother to three daughters and a son. She enjoys spending time on the water, staying active, and fostering environments—both at home and within her organization—where people feel welcomed, supported, and seen.
Through vision, lived experience, and purpose-driven leadership, Dawn Wallace continues to shape Chow Time Florida Corp into a mission-focused brand that serves great food, strengthens communities, and honors those who serve this nation.
